 Village Missions
There is a small rural church near where I live, here in Washington state. This church happens to be a Village Missions church. Village Missions helps keep rural churches alive in the US and Canada. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Village Missions to redesign their web site. Working with their photos and text, as well as their logo and other pre-designed elements, this site was created using CSS and XHTML. Constructive feedback from VM missionaries and their graphic designer helped greatly. This is currently one of my favorite sites, and I consider it a great privilege to be a part of this ministry through web design. Included on the site is a searchable database of VM churches, complete with click-to-enlarge photos, distances from zip codes, and links to maps and directions. Also included are three continuously updated blogs, several video clips, online donation forms, and general information about the mission. |
 Chilton Logging
Chilton Logging is a local logging/land development/custom home company based in Woodland, WA. This site uses the classic "tab" layout, with three tabs at the top representing each of the three divisions of the company. This site was created using CSS and XHTML. As on most of the sites I design, e-mail addresses are protected from spammers using contact forms and images rather than plain text e-mail links. |
 The Original Oak Tree Restaurant"A fixture along I-5 in Woodland, Washington for decades, The Oak Tree Restaurant's reputation is as strong as the legendary wood it is named after. Serving families with home style quality and consistency, The Oak Tree has always been a destination point for the hungry traveler." This web site includes menus, banquet information, features, driving directions, area information and more. For the first time, I incorporated some Flash files into this web site - notice the rotating pictures and quotes in the header of the home page. Flash format has the unique capability of combining GIF and JEPG type images, as well as text effects, for the best quality and quickest download. I also had the privilege of shooting all the photos for this web site! Most of this site is coded with valid XHTML/CSS, with Flash headers. |
 Port of Woodland
Conveniently located on the Columbia River near the Port of Seattle, Washington and the Port of Portland, Oregon, the Port of Woodland has prime industrial land ready for development. This was a web site redesign project. This site was coded with valid XHTML/CSS, and includes drop-down menu navigation, as well as an intro Flash animation. |
 Piano Studio of Martin E. Kauble
I took piano lessons from Martin for about five years, and now I've had the privilege of helping him create a web site for his studio. This web site uses a piano keyboard as the navigation sidebar. The keys appear to depress when the mouse is moved over them. Included on the site is a calendar of events, pricing, rates, policies, music history, trivia, and even a slideshow of Martin's car Belvie! |
 Cowlitz County Cemetery Dist. #2
"Cowlitz County Cemetery District #2 is comprised of Frank Abel Memorial, Lone Pine Memorial, I00F Memorial and Yale Memorial Cemeteries along the Lewis River valley near Woodland, WA." This is a basic web site, coded with valid XHTML and CSS. The most interesting feature of the site is the searchable database of burials, which includes a backend admin feature for inserting, updating, and deleting records. I also had the opportunity to take all the pictures for this web site! |
 The East Fork Lewis River
This web site is actually part of LewisRiver.com, which I also maintain. It features a light blue textured sidebar with white links to different sections of the site. The East Fork web site provides people with photos and information about the parks, scenery, and activities along this fork of the Lewis River. |
 Lewis River Bed & Breakfast
This was a cool site to create because I got to exercise my photography skills as well as do the web design! This site has lots of photos, boasting the beauty of the Lewis River Valley area and this relaxing B&B. The site includes info about the B&B's rooms, meals, rates, policies, and area attractions. |
 WashingtonTourist.com
The purpose of this web site is to provide visitors with a comprehensive guide to Washington State. It features an evergreen style and design with a green sidebar navigation system. The blue sidebar links highlight to yellow when the mouse is moved over them. Also included on this site is a very nice search engine which searches the site for specific keywords or phrases. Information on this web site includes bed and breakfasts, campgrounds and rv parks, fishing information, great destinations, visitor centers, weather conditions, and other information and links about Washington State. |
